LOG SPECIES AND LOG PROFILES
Log Species
Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes offers a wide selection of log species proven to be great performers.
Eastern White Pine is known for its great insulation values, medium-coarse texture, and its tight, prominent grain. White Pine is often chosen for its light color and because it has fewer knots than other pine species. Being lighter in weight, it is also easier to handle during the construction process. We offer premium White Pine for a variety of applications. It is the most popular wood species produced at Jim Barna Log and Timber Homes.
We also offer Southern Yellow Pine, Western Red Cedar, Hemlock.
Log Profiles
Jim Barna Log & Timber Homes’ complete selection of log species and profiles allow our customers maximum design flexibility.
Our premium graded log systems are first expertly kiln dried to remove moisture and stabilize the logs. They are then finish-milled to exact tolerances. In the final step, the logs are pre-cut and pre-drilled for ease of construction. Jim Barna customers can choose from any of the most popular log styles and profiles on the market today.
